Field Day = Fun Day for HPS Students!!!! It is a day that every student looks forward to and you have the opportunity to be a part of it. To pull this event off it requires a massive amount of volunteers. Trust us, we can't have too many and there's a job for everyone. Grades K-2 will be outside from 7:50-12:20, and Grades 3-6 will join 9:50-2:00.

For those of you who have never volunteered for a Field Day in the past, you have to see what you are missing. The kids spend their morning/afternoon playing outside games, eating pizza, dunking their principal and so much more. So sign up for a shift and get to see your student(s) at their Hyde Park happiest!

Calling all 5th-grade parents (or younger):
The 6th Grade Moving On Ceremony is May 22nd, and we need Volunteers to help so that our 6th grade families can enjoy this special time with their families!

On Wednesday, May 22nd our 6th grades will be celebrating with their Moving On Ceremony and we are in need of volunteers to help out at Withrow:
We need:
  • 2 volunteers to help us get the pavilion behind the school secured and hang out there with the coolers and tables (5:30 to 7pm)
  • 2 volunteers to pick up cupcakes and ice for the ceremony and then help us hand out drinks, cupcakes etc at the gathering after the ceremony (6pm to 8pm)

Fall Sports 2024: Registration NOW OPEN!

Fall Sports registration is NOW! We will be opening registration today, Sunday, May 12th and it will run through Sunday, June 16th, end of the day. We are always looking for new coaches so please volunteer if you are able. Keep an eye out for the link in an upcoming Tuesday folder, on our Facebook page, and through Sports Engine emails. We can't wait to have you join us for some fun sports action in the fall!

2024 HPS Summer Soccer Camp with Jack Hermans

Join us this summer at soccer camp with Jack Hermans, former professional player and former coach of XU men’s soccer team.

Camp is set to be held August 5-9, 2024 and is available for both half day (9 AM-12 PM) and full day (9 AM-3 PM) at Fairfax Recreation Fields. The half day camp is $120 and the full day camp is $175. This is a well-run, informative, and fun camp for kids of all ages (K-6). Spread the word and register now to reserve your spot!
