Did you know...
The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has been discovered in ash trees at the parking garage in Hanover. One tree was removed and the others will be reevaluated in the spring for preservation or removal. EAB only infects ash trees. EAB was first discovered in the midwestern US in early 2000s, most likely in shipping material from Asia. The Town of Hanover began treating ash trees for EAB a few years ago.
If you have concerns about ash trees on your property, contact a local certified arborist to discuss options for your trees.
