In October 2022 the CDC Foundation convened a set of stakeholders to discuss Privacy Protecting Record Linkage (PPRL). Nearly forty representatives of leading public health organizations, their industry partners and their Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) colleagues discussed the potential benefits, barriers and sustainable business models for PPRL implementation.

HLN released a new version (v1.38.1) of the Immunization Calculation Engine (ICE) in support of updates to the COVID-19 vaccine. This version includes updates to the COVID-19 Vaccine Group to align ICE with the latest guidelines related to bivalent doses for patients 6 months and older.

HLN attended CDCONC Industry Days on February 27-28, 2023 in Washington, DC. The conference had 1,100 virtual and over 300 in-person attendees. This was the first event of its kind, convened by the CDC Foundation for CDC and ONC to collaborate with non-government organizations and vendors on modernizing public health data and information systems. 

HLN participated in the HL7 FHIR Connectathon in Las Vegas on January 14-15, 2023 representing the Rhode Island Child and Adult Immunization Registry (RICAIR) in the Helios Accelerator Bulk Data Track. Connectathons are an opportunity for developers from different organizations to work in-person with each other and with standards development teams to exchange test data using new FHIR interoperability standards.
