Richard and Jodi Brodsky will be running their 86th and 102nd marathons in Ft. Lauderdale on February 18, 2024.

I'm running with Laufmaus wrist supports and I usually run about 15 seconds faster per mile. Last year at the Boston Marathon, I missed qualifying for the 2024 Bosto Marathon by 7 seconds per mile. Ft. Lauderdale is usually hot, but this year the weather will be cooler and I have a chance to qualify for Boston 2025.

17th annual 5K AIDS Cancer Run Walk, June 2, 2024, Baldwin Park, 9 am start. No charge for people living with HIV, cancer or

Veterans (my dad was awarded the Purple Heart). There will also be a free 1/4 mile kids walk starting at 8:30. (3 of my 4 grandkids will be running) Elitefeats will be timing the race

18th annual World AIDS Marathon (BQ) will be Sunday December 1, 2024 (3 days after Thanksgiving). There will also be a half marathon, 10K, and 5K on Rockaway boardwalk and Beach 73rd Street; all events start at 10 am. Elitefeats will be timing the Events. Invite out of town friends and family to celebrate Thanksgiving in New York and run the only marathon in North America on World AIDS Day, and possibly the only marathon in North America that has an oceanfront view for the entire course.

After the marathon, we travel to Kenya and host a minimum of 8 activities including 4 orphan dinner dances, a meet and greet dinner, a free 5K AIDS fun run/walk, and two days of activities for special needs kids including art, music and dancing.

Jiu Pachi, Eunice Owino, CBO has hosted orphan dinner dances and events for special needs kids since 2018. The Richard M. Brodsky Foundation has sponsored 49 orphan dinner dances for 13,670 Kenyan orphans since 2006.

Doctors will be examining & treating orphans at 4 orphan dinner dances in 2023: Jiu Pachi, Pastor Paul's Word Academy, Mama Sarah's home (Pres. Obama's Kenya grandmother who recently died at 99) hosted by Mama Sarah's daughter Marsat Onyango, and BKM.
