"Respect for Nature " -Traditional Iñupiaq Value
Thank you Global Protection Corp. for the Condom Donation!

Thank you  Global Protection Corp.  for the condom donation!  Global Protection donated clever and fun OneCondoms to the ANTHC HIV/STD Prevention Program. Thanks to Global Protection we can continue offering condoms to Alaskans (up to 20 at a time) free of charge. Individuals can order condoms at iknowmine.org/condoms. We mail out condoms in a plain envelope with simply a return mailing address. That way, you can't tell what is in the package.

The vision of ANTHC is that Alaska Native people are the healthiest in the world. Thank you Global Protection  for helping us to fulfill this vision by providing access to free health materials to our community members in Alaska!
Staff Spotlight: Merryn Daniel and Taylor Holsinger
"Hard Work" -Traditional Iñupiaq Value

Merryn Daniel, volunteer staff member
The ANTHC HIV/STD Prevention Program would like to welcome Merryn Daniel and Taylor Holsinger on board as staff members with IKM. Merryn  (pictured: top left)  joined the HIV/STD prevention program this summer as a student volunteer. She is working on the Alaska Native LGBTQ Initiative and the IKM website. Merryn grew up in Anchorage and is currently attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Taylor (pictured: bottom right) graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2019 with a Master's degree in Public Health: Public Health Education and Infectious Diseases. Prior to her current position, Taylor worked as an HIV counselor in Nairobi, Kenya and Community Health Specialist in Roanoke, Virginia. Although much of her background was focused around infectious diseases, Taylor is looking forward to expanding her public health and cultural knowledge while working with Substance Abuse Prevention.

Taylor Holsinger, AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer
Taylor is brand new to Anchorage, having spent much of her youth in the mid-West and on the East Coast of the lower 48. She loves to travel, both in the U.S. and internationally, and is excited to experience all the adventures Alaska has to offer. She enjoys camping, swimming, and hanging out at the dog park with her dog, Sheba.

Thank you Merryn and Taylor for all your work!
