Bridging the Gaps: First Annual Joint Event for Iowa HIMSS and IaHIMA 

Iowa HIMSS and IaHIMA-Iowa Health Information Management Association announce our first annual joint meeting on "Bridging the Gaps" on May 2-3, 2016 at the Coralville Marriott.   Save the date and check out our website for preliminary information with agenda and registration from Iowa HIMSS and IaHIMA available soon.
  • May 1st - Golf Outing: Randy A. Haskins Memorial Scholarship (Brown Deere Golf Course)
  • May 2nd/3rd - Bridging the Gaps: Including Keynote speakers Jane Boucher and JoEllen Whittney. The session tracks will be focused in three areas: 
    • Leadership
    • IT
    • RHIT
  • Additionally we will be offering CPHIMSS Exam Preparation (also conducting the actual Exam) and RHIT Exam Preparations training

HIMSS Iowa Chapter September Event

Save the date for our September 13-14, 2016 Iowa HIMSS Bootcamps at  Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids, IA.   Two focused tracks offered:
  • Nursing Informatics Boot Camp (two day) led by Susan Newbold
  • HIPAA Training and Certification (two day) led by Lorna Waggoner   (The manual for the class will be $199 and then $495 to take the exam).  The registration fees for our HIMSS members will be offered at a significant cost savings!
