President's Message
Happy October Highland Park!

Progress can seem slow at times but we must persevere! At our October 2019 HHPNC Regular Board Meeting we were able to support the Highland Park Film Festival which had an amazing turnout and even brought Danny Trejo into our backyard! Even local Franklin high schoolers had featured films.

We voted to support the upcoming Dia de Los Muertos/Otono Festival presented by Ave 50 Studios, set to be on November 1, 2019 at Culebra Park located at 240 S. Ave 57 Los Angeles, CA 90042 from 4-7pm. READ MORE

Census 2020
LA needs your help to ensure all of our communities are counted accurately in the 2020 Census so our city can receive the federal funding and the representation we deserve! We're asking all NCs to designate two liaisons to be trained as Census Ambassadors. Liaisons needn't be board members. Learn more.

Homesharing Ordinance
LA's new Home-Sharing Ordinance (CF14-1635-S2), adopted Dec 2018, will be enforced beginning November 1, 2019. The legislation restricts short-term rentals to one's primary residence. Attend one of the Dept of City Planning's in-person or online info sessions to learn more about how the new ordinance works. Sessions take place Oct 16 - Nov 7.
