Greetings!

REGARDING OUR INDEBTEDNESS

During the opening days of August we received enough monies to eliminate the indebtedness that this ministry had incurred over the summer - a total of $120,000. We did NOT, however, include any monies for the current and future bills of this ministry. We are already seeing some reduction of support as we enter the fall months.

Please pray with us about this matter, and as the Lord leads you, designate a portion of your charitable donations for this ministry of Bible teaching. We need your support!

HFT POSITION

We have been inundated with questions about our government and which candidates to support, etc. It is our sincere belief that our Biblical responsibility involves praying for all those in authority over us - I Timothy 2:1-4. Bible-believers must realize that our lack of prayer for our leaders is one of the greatest reasons for the trouble facing this nation.

Our position is based on being Pro-Life, Pro-Family, Pro-Marriage (between a man and a woman only), Pro-Prayer, Pro-Bible Reading, Pro-Israel, Pro-Repentance, Pro-Revival, and many other related issues. May God give us all wisdom and a commitment to obey Him and give Him ALL the glory and praise!

ABBAS DENIES JEWISH TEMPLE AND CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY
by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu (Arutz Sheva News)

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas frequently refers to the "alleged" Jewish Temple, but if it was not Jewish, there is no basis for Christian belief, as written in the New Testament in Matthew (21:12), that Jewish "moneychangers" chased Jesus from the Holy Temple. However, Christians so far have not reacted to the implicit denial of their belief.

The PA campaign to eradicate Jewish history at the Temple Mount, as well as in the rest of Israel, has escalated sharply in the past two years.

Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) documented and translated statements from Palestinian Authority leaders, including Abbas, his advisor Ahmad Al-Ruweidi, clerics and ministers, all of whom used the term "alleged Temple" 97 times in 2011 and 2012.

PMW pointed out that the number 97 refers only to the term "alleged Temple" and does not include thousands of other denials of the existence of the First and Second Temples and Jewish history in the rest of Israel. Many Jewish sites, such as Rachel's Tomb at the edge of Bethlehem and less than a mile from Jerusalem, has been given an Arab name by the PA, whose clerics claim it was a Muslim site - before Islam was founded.

Last week, Abbas said in the official PA WAFA news agency and in the PA official daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, "Israel's purpose is to achieve its black goals: Destroying the Al-Aqsa Mosque, building the 'alleged Temple,' taking over the Muslim and Christian holy sites, and destroying its (Jerusalem's) institutions in order to empty it, uproot its residents, and continue its occupation and Judaization."

PMW also uncovered Abbas' statement "that all of Israel's archeological digs and tunnels... will not change the reality of the city... and will not create a (Jewish) right based on fantasy and legends."

The statement ended, "There will be no peace, security, or stability unless the occupation (Israel), its settlements and settlers will be evacuated from our holy city and the eternal capital of our state."

Abbas has previously declared that "Palestinian" history is 9,000 years old and said last year, on the eve of Israel's Independence Day, "Netanyahu, you are incidental in history. We are the people of history. We are the owners of history," PMW stated.

MESSIANIC COMMENTARY: THE STONES SPEAK HEBREW!

By Tsvi Sadan (Israel Today News)

History has always assisted the religious, the ideological, and politicians in their attempts to implement their ideas in real life. Ideologically-driven political actions are most frequently based on texts. The written Law, for example, motivated the people of Israel to take possession of the land of Canaan - and return to it as their homeland in the twentieth century.

The first archaeologist in the service of a religiously-motivated emperor may well have been Helena, Constantine the Great's mother. Combing Jerusalem in search of hard evidence for her faith, she unearthed - among other things - the original cross and the shroud in which Jesus was buried.

Today, texts and artifacts are used - maybe even more vigorously and blatantly than before - to support the Palestinian claim to the Land. Hamdan Taha, Assistant Deputy Minister of the antiquities and cultural heritage section of the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, claims that "archaeology is a tool to reconstruct the past" - proceeding to complete the task by dismissing any evidence for an ancient Jewish presence in the "land of Palestine."

On this premise, Palestinian reconstruction works inside the Mosque of Omar on the Temple Mount, for example, have transformed the Second Temple structure underneath it known as "Solomon's Stables" into a mosque.

Such a revision of history which seeks to de-legitimize Jewish sovereignty over the entire region hopes to convince the world that the Palestinians are the direct descendants of the Hittites and the Canaanites - and therefore the rightful heirs of the Land.  Those who have ears, however, may hear the stones of ancient ruins, magnified through this new column, "crying out" - in Hebrew.

Bethlehem

A case in point is a 2,700 seal discovered near the walls of Jerusalem's Old City in 2009. Bearing the inscription "Bethlehem" in ancient Hebrew script, the tiny clay seal dates back to the period of the first Temple - between the eighth and seventh centuries BCE. This is the oldest reference to Bethlehem ever found outside of the Bible.

Although the Hebrew name of the town has kept through the ages, including its Arabic name - Beit Lahm - hard evidence appears dispensable in the eyes of Palestinian nationalists and their supporters.  The webpage of Bethlehem's municipality thus unabashedly informs the reader that: "Three thousand years before the birth of Christ, Bethlehem was already known as a Canaanite settlement ... the word Bethlehem is derived from Lahmo, the Chaldean god of fertility, which was adopted by the Canaanites as Lahama ... Bethlehem clearly established its Canaanite origin 3,000 years before the birth of Jesus."

The word Jewish - in case one wonders - is nowhere to be found in this Palestinian version of Bethlehem's history!

USA RESPONDS TO IRAN WITH SECOND WARSHIP IN GULF

by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu (Arutz Sheva News)

"When the world calls, we have to respond," U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told sailors before a second American aircraft carrier headed for the Persian Gulf this week.  The urgency of the United States to boost its defenses in the Gulf was indicated by its recalling the sailors early from leave to board the ship for the Middle East, four months ahead of schedule.

The USS John C. Stennis, which can carry 90 warplanes, is heading to the Gulf as Iran continues to challenge the world by advancing its unsupervised nuclear program.

The USS Stennis will join the U.S. Enterprise Strike Group and poses a strong deterrence to any Iranian plans to try to block the Gulf or to attack commercial oil tankers. The Strike Group includes a guided missile cruiser and four guided missile destroyers.

"It's tough," Panetta told sailors before they left port.  "We're asking an awful lot of each of you.  And frankly, you are the best I have -- and when the world calls, we have to respond."

"Obviously Iran is one of those threats that we have to be able to focus on and make sure that we're prepared to deal with any threats that could emerge out of Iran," Panetta told reporters.

The Obama Administration, which previously has said that solving the Palestinian Authority demand for independence is the key to peace for the entire Middle East region, has increasingly shown signs that reflect Israel's warnings that the regime in Tehran is dead set to fulfill its stated intention to annihilate Israel, leaving the United States without a committed democratic ally in the region.

"The very existence of the Zionist regime is an insult to humankind and an affront to all world nations," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in a speech this month.  "Confronting Zionists will also pave the way for saving the whole humankind from exploitation, depravity and misery."

The beefed up American naval presence in the Gulf parallels concerns in Israel that sanctions may be hurting the Iranian economy but are not enough to stop Tehran's drive for nuclear capability.

The American-backed sanctions include numerous loopholes that have enabled countries such as Japan and North Korea to continue importing oil from Iran, which depends on the black gold for most of its foreign exchange earnings.

The U.S. State Dept. continues to push for diplomacy to convince Ahmadinejad to pressure him to allow full inspection of its nuclear facilities by United Nations inspectors.

"We are focused on combining diplomacy and pressure, trying to get Iran to be serious at the negotiating table and we are in full consultations with the Israelis about the picture that we see, and we will continue to make those points clear," spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said last week.
