Wrap Up of Record-Breaking Health Care Symposium

More than 800 HF/E professionals and students with an interest in health care human factors attended the 13th International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care in Chicago this week—a record number of Symposium registrants!

With an outstanding keynote address from Dr. Rollin J. "Terry" Fairbanks on safety improvements in healthcare, 45+ sessions, 160 posters, five workshops and the first-ever HFES Healthcare Robotics Summit, the success of this event would not have been possible without the leadership of Joseph Keebler, Ph.D. (Chair; Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University), Tara Cohen, Ph.D. (Co-chair; Cedars-Sinai Medical Chair) and Anthony Andre, Ph.D. (Chair Emeritus; Interface Analysis Associates). Thank you to all who contributed to the Symposium, including all 150+ speakers, 10 sponsors and 20 exhibitors.

Platinum Sponsor

Save the date for next year! The 14th HFES International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care will convene March 30 - April 2, 2025 at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto, Canada.
