Welcome back!

Hopefully you are enjoying the last few days of summer as you prepare to launch into another school year. If you have not already renewed your membership with HENB, you can do so by following the link here. As an organization, HENB works to help maintain the right of New Brunswickers to homeschool their children, to help new homeschoolers connect with local groups, and to host an annual conference.
Annual Youth Retreat
We're so excited to be able to offer our annual youth retreat again this year, after having to take last year off. The retreat will take place at Sandy Cove Bible Camp on October 1-2 and is for homeschooled teens in Grade 8-12.
en Français
It has long been difficult to find homeschooling information and resources in the French language. The board of HENB has been working to provide more content for Francophone homeschoolers in New Brunswick. With that goal in mind, translation work has been done on the website, and more French resources have been added. You can view the French portion of the website here, and we encourage you to share this resource with your Francophone friends.
Becoming a member of HENB also gives you a discount on your annual Home School Legal Defence membership. For over 25 years HSLDA has been working diligently to support homeschool families by providing everything needed to succeed. Expert legal support, insurance coverage, and advice from experienced staff are just some of the many benefits of joining HSLDA. Click here to learn more about the mission of HSLDA, or click here to begin or renew your membership. Don't forget that HENB members receive a 20% discount on their membership with HSLDA!
There are families new to homeschooling that may not have heard of this great website that answers many questions about homeschooling. Share it with your friends considering homeschooling or learn something new yourself!
If your child is in high school or you are considering post secondary options, don't forget that HENB has worked with the New Brunswick Community Colleges to greatly improved their acceptance of homeschooled graduates. We have prepared a handy guide to help you navigate their process for your students.
Local Support Groups

Local homeschool groups are great to connect with other local families on a regular basis. If you are looking to join one, check out some listed on our website and see if one might be a good fit for your family.
