Honolulu Star-Advertiser: New job board seeks workers for Hawaii's defense industry

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser recently published an article on the launch of Hui o Hawaii, an online defense job board. Hui o Hawaii allows local businesses in the defense sector to meet current and future job opportunities for Hawaii residents. If you are looking for a job in the defense sector, submit your resume on Hui o Hawaii to help businesses find you for a future care

HDA HUBZone Webinar

On Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, the Hawaii Defense Alliance together with the HUBZone Program held a webinar to fuel small business growth in historically underutilized business zones. With more defense work coming to Hawaii, the Alliance wants to connect the people of Hawaii to the business opportunities of the defense space. The webinar featured Michael Youth,

lead business opportunity specialist, U.S. Small Business Admiistration; Monique Holmes, deputy for small business programs, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers; anMicolas Ogawa, procurement counselor, Hawaii Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

UH IT & Intelligence Virtual Career Fair

The University of Hawaii is holding a virtual event for the Information Technology and Intelligence Community on October 14 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. If you are interested in finding a career in IT or the Intelligence Community, take advantage of this opportunity to meet with and hear from recruiters online about current and future jobs and careers. The information Technology Community is looking for top talent across many skill areas such as Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, and more. 


Companies will get the opportunity to connect with UH students and alumni from all 10 campuses to discuss day-to-day operations in the Information Technology and Intelligence community.

Pacific Tech 2022 Conference

The Pacific Tech 2022 is a bi-annual event held by HYDC and brings together Pacific region tech and engineering solution providers together with government customers, investors, prime contractors, federal SBIR/STTR program representatives, and other supporting agencies. You'll here from national experts covering topics demonstrating how to best leverage new funding and tech commercialization opportunities. The conference will be from October 24 - 26 at the Hawaii Convention Center. The event will start at 7:00 am and end at 4:00 pm.


There is a huge opportunity for Pacific region tech and engineering companies, especially small businesses that are able to offer new and innovative technology solutions to government challenges they are unable to solve internally. This conference will focus on customer needs working with tech scouts, SBIR opportunities: DoD SBIRs, and much more.
