AA: for those who suffer from the disease of alcoholism. Group meets every Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.
Birth Parent Support Group: A group of birth mothers and fathers who have chosen adoption for their children. Meets quarterly
- Next meeting will be Wed. April 17th from 6:00-7:30 pm
Buddy Break: for children (ages 2 and up) and adults who have special needs. A free, fun filled afternoon that pairs participants (VIPs) with trained volunteer buddies while caregivers get an afternoon to themselves. Siblings welcome.
- Next Buddy Break will take place on Sunday, Feb. 25th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm Advance registration required to ensure we have enough buddies on hand for all participants. Please note we originally planned to hold this on February 18th, but needed to switch dates due to volunteer availability. We apologize for any inconvenience the switch may cause and look forward to seeing you there!

Monthly volunteer opportunities exist for adults and children ages 12 and up (or younger if attending with a parent) from 12:30 - 4:15 pm. Volunteers do not need to commit to attending every month, we welcome the help when you are available. Please email buddybreak@hcl.org for more information.
Cancer Support Mentors: available for those who are currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
Caregiver Support Group: Resources and Support for caregivers of those living with physical, medical, or mental health challenges.
- Next meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 8th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.
Career Crossroads Mentors: Available to connect with individuals seeking emotional or logistical assistance and support as they face a career transition of any kind.
Career Explorers Course: a 7 week Christ centered program designed to equip individuals in the midst of a job transition with practical skills while simultaneously exploring the gifts and passions God's given.
- Group will meets on Mondays from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Ebenezer South.
- We are currently seeking volunteers fluent in both English and Spanish for a second offering of this course which will be held in Spring. Please contact Julie Luther for more details.
Changing Chapters, What Now? A 6 week study designed to encourage and equip individuals with the skills needed to navigate large changes and help rediscover purpose in new seasons utilizing the many gifts God's given them. This program is ideal for adults in a new (planned or unplanned) season of life such as after divorce or loss of a loved one, approaching or recently experiencing retirement, empty nesters, after receiving news of a significant health challenge, etc.
- The group will meet on Saturdays from 10:00am - 12:00 pm beginning February 10th, 2024 (at HCL).
Deaf Ministry: Assisted hearing devices available at all services at the information counter. ASL interpreter available during the 10:45 worship service, as well as at special events upon request.
DivorceCare: 13 week curriculum for individuals in any stage of divorce or separation
- Group meets Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 pm
DivorceCare Exceptional Love: additional support for current participants of DivorceCare
- Group meets Sunday evenings from 5:30 - 6:00 pm
Estranged Grandparents Support Group: A group designed to support members in finding peace and maintaining hope along the path of grandparent estrangement and alienation.

Estranged Grandparent Survey
GriefShare: a 13 week program designed for adults who have lost a loved one to death. There are three weekly sessions to choose from. Please choose the session that works best for you as the same material will be covered in each.
- Group meets Mondays from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Wednesdays from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, and Wednesdays from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Griefshare Prison Ministry: currently held at the Racine Correctional Institute for men on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Monday of each month from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. This is also held at Ellsworth Correctional Center for women every other Thursday morning. We currently have a waiting list of approximately 90 women who wish to participate in this program and we would welcome being able to offer a second session. No prior experience required. Please pray over the need and contact Julie Luther for more information on serving in either location.
Homebound and Hospital Visitation: for those seeking a visit in their home, hospital, nursing home or other recovery center. Contact Jessica Ramdohr at jramdohr@hcl.org to request a visit.
Life's Healing Choices: designed to help you find God’s pathway to wholeness, growth, spiritual maturity, happiness, and healing. The goal of the 8 session series, written by Rick Warren and John Baker is to equip you with real answers, real hope, and a real future in the midst of hurts, addictions, and other challenges — one healing choice at a time.
- A spring session will be offered on Thursday evenings beginning April 4th. Deadline to RSVP will be April 1st.
Lighthouse Ministry: counseling services provided by licensed psychotherapist Deb Reid-Zielinski. Contact Teresa at (414) 529-6700 to schedule an appointment.
LOVE: a gathering of Christian parents and grandparents of LGBTQ+ children focused on walking alongside their loved one right where they are at

Meals Ministry: provides short term meal assistance for those who are in the midst of a significant health issue, have experienced the loss of a loved one, or are in other situations requiring support.
Mending The Soul: A 12 week program for women who have experienced any form of abuse at any stage of life. Please contact Julie Luther if you would like more information on attending.

Miscarriage, Stillbirth, & Infant Loss Support Group: for those grieving their babies who are now in the arms of Jesus.
- Group will meet monthly over zoom with periodic in person social connections. Group meets the third Thursday of the month from 8:15 - 9:15 pm.
Open Gym (adaptive sports): A partnership between the Special Needs Ministry and The Ability Center to offer an opportunity for ALL people (both those with and without disabilities) of all ages and all ability levels to have fun together at no cost while playing adaptive sports. TAC will provide all equipment, including athletic wheelchairs for all.
- Open Gyms will be held in the HCL gym quarterly on Friday nights from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Come and go as it's convenient for you. Invite friends and loved ones.
- 2024 Sessions will be held on April 12th, July 12th, and October 25th.

- Group meets the second Monday of every month from 6:30 - 8:00 pm September through May.
Safe Harbor Support Group: support for those living with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.
- Group meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 12:45 - 2:45 pm
Senior Ministry (all events held in the Steeple View Community Room unless otherwise indicated below)
- Bible Study: Wednesdays from 9:30 - 10:45am with Pastor Todd and Pastor Wood.
- Line Dancing: held on the 4th Monday of every month through May. Please contact Steepleview for exact date and time (414) 525-5500.
- Young at Heart Speaker Series: 2nd Thursday of the month from 1:00 - 2:30 pm from September through May. February's topic will be How to Pass Your Faith Forward to Future Generations with Rev. Gil Duchow.

Serenity Room: a quiet room in the northeast corner of the sanctuary for anyone of any age needing a low sensory space during worship for any reason. Available during all worship services.
Supported Family Worship Experience: ASL interpreter and volunteers from our special needs ministry will be available for the 10:45 am service to sit with and assist families every Sunday except for Buddy Break Sunday (Feb.25th will be the next exception). Volunteers will be located in the northeast portion of pews. Serenity Room available during this and all services. Sensory rich activity bags are also available for check out at the information counter during all services.
Please use the main church entrance for all groups. Meeting room locations will be posted on the electronic monitor next to the information counter.
