Greetings, HCDA!
I am excited and honored to serve as your president for this upcoming year. With the help of our incredible executive council, we have planned a terrific year for our organization focused on engaging speakers, continued social events, and growth of our membership. I encourage all members to reach out to friends and colleagues who would benefit from the amazing fellowship our organization provides.
We started the year off again with a kickoff party at American Social. We had a great turnout, and it was nice to reconnect after a busy summer. Our first membership meeting will be held on September 26 at Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club. We are excited to welcome Justin McElroy who will be presenting “Scan-Design-Print-Deliver,” which will encompass the rapidly-evolving digital lab workflow. Justin is the Vice President of Business Development at Midwest Dental Arts and speaks nationally on digital lab technology.
Lastly, our November meeting will be held at Top Golf Tampa for the second year, and we are honored to have our very own Dr. Rudy Liddell speak on the current climate of organized dentistry. Afterwards, we have provided ample time for everyone to enjoy socializing and golfing within our private bays.
Looking forward to a fantastic year!

About Our Speaker:
Justin McElroy graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2005 with a degree in BioTechnology. He is currently serving as a board member on the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Justin’s early exposure in dentistry started at his grandfather's dental practice in western Nebraska. As a pre-dental student in college he spent many hours in some of the top dental practices in the Midwest. One of his early mentors was Dr. Robert Margeas who practices in Des Moines, Iowa and also lectures internationally on anterior esthetics.
In 2006, Justin joined Team Midwest Dental Arts owned by Jamey Schropp, CDT. He has attended the top dental meetings in the United States including the AAID, AACD, ICOI, FACD and spent 4 years as a contributing member to the Cambridge Study Club near Boston.
Justin is currently living in Sarasota and is the VP of Business Development for Midwest Dental Arts. In 2016 he completed the DSD Residency at NYU and has been and active contributor to the DSD concepts and an early adopter and beta tester for the Digital Smile Design App founded by Dr. Christian Coachman and Ralph George. In 2018 Justin and Dr Miguel Ortiz (Boston) have travelled the US teaching dental photography and digital workflows.
Justin and the Team at Midwest Dental Arts have been pioneers in developing digital workflows using IO scanners and advanced design softwares including the DSD App and Exocad. Currently Mr. McElroy has implemented several techniques in full mouth reconstructions including “dual PMMA protocols and stage 1&2 digital diagnostic wax ups.”
