This latest construction update flyover video shows construction progress through the project alignment in Segment 2 from the Āhua (Lagoon Drive) Station to Kahauiki (Middle Street Transit Center) Station.

HART’s contractor Shimmick/Traylor/Granite Joint-Venture (STG) is constructing four (4) stations and guideway between Aloha Stadium and the Middle Street Transit Center, and is expected to be complete in the second quarter of 2024. Core Systems installation activities are currently ongoing. 

SEGMENT 2

Which includes approximately 5.2 miles of guideway, including Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, Lagoon Drive, and Middle Street Transit Center Stations, is expected to be transferred to the City’s Department of Transportation Services (DTS) for operations in 2025. HART and Frank V. Coluccio Construction Company (FVCCC) would like to remind area residents and businesses of ongoing utilities relocation work on Halekauwila Street. To safely perform this work, the eastbound left turn from Ala Moana Boulevard onto Halekauwila Street will be intermittently closed through the end of February and motorists will be detoured.

Access to all driveways will be maintained; Special Duty Officers and onsite personnel will assist motorists and pedestrians as needed.
