WHY NOW?
WHAT'S NEXT?
Scandal, division, disease, doubt.
The Church has withstood each of these
throughout our very human history.
But today we confront all of them, all at once.
Our response in this moment is pivotal.
In the midst of these roaring waves,
Jesus is present, reminding us that he is
more powerful than the storm.
He desires to heal, renew, and unify
the Church and the world.
How will he do it?
By uniting us once again around the source and summit
of our faith in the celebration of the Eucharist.
The National Eucharistic Revival is the joyful,
expectant, grassroots response of the entire
Catholic Church in the U.S. to this divine invitation.

Near the End of Mom’s Life,
Jesus Hasn’t Forgotten Her
The feeling of helplessness in the face of a
loved one's illness can be paralyzing.
Sr. Kathryn Hermes, FSP, shares how in spite of
—or perhaps in light of—
her family’s limited ability to care for her mother
in the twilight of her life,
there has opened up a new understanding
of the presence of Jesus in their midst.

The Eucharist and the Sacred Heart:
A Prayer after Communion
By St. John Henry Newman
Most Sacred, most loving Heart of Jesus,
You are concealed in the Holy Eucharist,
And you beat for us still.
Now, as then, you say: “With desire I have desired.”
I worship you with all my best love and awe,
With fervent affection,
With my most subdued, most resolved will.
For a while you take up your abode within me.
O make my heart beat with your Heart!
Purify it of all that is earthly,
All that is proud and sensual,
All that is hard and cruel,
Of all perversity,
Of all disorder,
Of all deadness.
So fill it with you,
That neither the events of the day,
Nor the circumstances of the time,
May have the power to ruffle it;
But that in your love and your fear,
It may have peace.
