Save the Date! Guinness Brewery Social

The YMG May event will be Thursday, May 19th, at Guinness Open Gate Brewery, 5001 Washington Blvd, Halethorpe, MD 21227. Free to attend for ASCE members, guests/non-members, and students. ASCE will provide for some shared food only. Bring some friends, there's an opportunity to win an ASCE Padfolio! More details TBA.
Call for Committee Volunteers

The ASCE Maryland Section is seeking 1-2 younger members to join the Scholarship Committee. They meet (usually virtually) on the first Wednesday of the month from May through October, mainly to plan the Scholarship Fundraiser Event which is scheduled for October 15th. Call for Web Admin Volunteers

The Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) MD Chapter is seeking 2 younger members for Web Admin positions. The work includes updating the website, creating Zoom events, and sending Mailchimp emails. Tree Planting Recap

We had an awesome April event with the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy! We helped plant native trees in a conservation easement area, and learned a lot too. Thanks for coming out and bringing friends and family to celebrate Earth Day weekend.
RECONNECT! Invitation to ASCE's Younger Member Council+

The ASCE Hartford Younger Member Forum is excited to host the 2022 Eastern Younger Member Council annual general meeting for Regions 1, 2, 4 & 5 (ERYMC)...in Hartford, CT! This meeting is being combined this year with programming traditionally offered by the ASCE Committee on Younger Members (CYM) at the Younger Member Leadership Symposium (YMLS). 

WHO: All Younger Members and Students, ASCE Membership is required
WHEN: June 10-12, 2022 (exact schedule TBA)
PRICE: See invitation letter below. You can seek financial assistance from your employer using the Employer Support Letter template found here.
RSVP: Dates vary for registration and hotel cutoffs (early bird ends 5/6). After you're registered, email the leadership group at ym@ascemd.org and let us know so we can potentially travel together.
