Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and Trinity High School have signed an agreement guaranteeing qualified Trinity graduates admission and a merit scholarship to the college.
Messiah University will guarantee admission and a four-year renewable scholarship of at least $10,000 per year ($40,000 total value) to graduates of Trinity High School who apply to Messiah University, including competitive programs, based on the following criteria:
- Admission to the University: Students must have a 3.0 GPA (with no grades equal to or less than a D+) and a 1000 SAT (with a score of at least 500 ERW), a 19 ACT (with a score of at least 37 combined English and Reading), or a CLT score of 65 (at least 47 verbal reasoning and grammar/writing). Test optional candidates must demonstrate a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and must have completed at least two full years of high school at Trinity. Students who meet these criteria will receive, at minimum, an $10,000/year four-year scholarship.
- Admission to Engineering: Students must have at least an 1180 SAT (with at least a 580 SAT Math), a 24 ACT composite (with at least a 24 ACT Math), or CLT score of 77 (23 quantitative reasoning). Test optional candidates wishing to pursue admission to the engineering program will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Admission to Nursing: Students must have a score of at least 560 on the SAT ERW or 27 Reading sub-score and an SAT Math score of 530, or a 21 ACT composite with a minimum of 44 combined English and Reading and a 21 ACT Math minimum, or a CLT combined verbal reasoning and grammar/writing of 52 and quantitative reasoning of 20), combined with a minimum grade of B- in Chemistry and one other science course, both with a lab component. Test optional candidates wishing to pursue admission to the nursing program will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Admission to Messiah University Early Assurance Programs (Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy) and other pre-professional partnerships will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and admission will be determined at the time of application.
