The City Council recognized Mike Sprague at their February 13, 2023 meeting.

Mike Sprague worked for Whittier Daily News for 35 years and covered the City of La Habra Heights.

The City of La Habra Heights is hosting a community yard sale at The Park on Saturday May 6, 2023 from 8 am to 12pm. The Park is located at 1885 N. Hacienda Road, La Habra Heights, CA 90631.

La Habra Heights residents can reserve a 10' x 10' selling space for $10.00 until March 1st. The reservation fee includes advertising of the event to the public. Also a donation truck & Republic Services waste bin will be onsite for your "self loading" convenience.

After March 1st the price will be $25.00 per space. Register early to secure your space. Selling spaces limited to 40.

Microbusinesses in LA County can now apply for grants starting at $2,500 through LA County's Economic Opportunity Grant program which will award more than $54 million in grants to small & micro businesses, and non-profits impacted by the pandemic.

LA County Parks is hiring! This Spring, they are looking to employ local LA County Youth with an excellent entry level job that pays more than minimum wage ($16.04) and allows them to work at their local LA County Park.

• Posses a current work PERMIT (for those 17 years old and younger)
• Have the right to work documents
