Earth Day Art Contest

The Earth Keeping Team thanks all the children who took part in our Earth Day Art Contest! The entries will be on display next week and the winners from each category (4th grade and under, 5th grade and above) will be announced at the 10:30 service next Sunday. Winners will receive a scholarship to Camp Bishopswood to be determined in consultation with parents.

Check out our flag!

As a way to connect with our wider community, we will be changing the flag that hangs off of our sign on Route 1 periodically. This month, in honor of Earth Day, we are flying a flag of planet earth as a reminder of our call to environmental stewardship! Thanks to Ed & Karen Perka, Trav & Hurst Burnett, and Steve Smith for getting and hanging this month's flag! (The flag will go up on Saturday of this week!)

Spiritual Exercise of St. Ignatius: 19th Annotation

Do you sense Jesus inviting you to “come away” with him for a while? Do you

desire to learn how to pray more deeply? Do you wonder how this can happen in the busyness of your daily life? Are you in need of making a major decision?

If you answered yes to any of these questions the 19th Annotation of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius might be just what you are looking for. This retreat is commonly called, “The Retreat of Daily Life”. It begins in mid-September and ends in mid-May. We meet weekly on Wednesdays and there is a choice of morning or evening sessions. The sessions are about one and a half hours long. We now hold the retreat on Zoom which is very convenient as you can experience the retreat from the comfort of your home. If you would like more information about the retreat, you can visit our website: ManresaWayMaine.org, or contact The Rev. Gail Chandler here. On May 29, 2024 we will offer an information night on Zoom from 7-9 PM. If you are interested in attending, please email Deacon Gail at the above email address in order to receive the Zoom link.
