Greg Erhman has been awarded New England Home's 5 Under 40 award. New England Home's 5 Under 40 awards spotlight the hottest emerging talent in residential design in New England, including architecture, home-design products and accessories, interiors, furniture and landscape design. Selected by an all-star committee of regional design leaders, 5 Under 40 winners are the people to watch, producing some of the most beautiful and innovative work available today. Winners for 2014 were announced at a special reception last week and will be recognized at a celebratory awards gala on Thursday, September 11, 2014, in Boston.

Greg is a Senior Associate in Hutker Architect's Martha's Vineyard office, where his responsibilities include design projects, staff management, project team workflow, business development, marketing, and promotion of the firm's design portfolio.  Greg has designed and managed many of the firm's award-winning and published projects while establishing leadership positions within the design studio and the community beyond.  His lifelong appreciation for the New England vernacular, together with his passion for building science and technology, provides inspiration for each project.  Greg values a collaborative process that brings into focus stewardship, energy conservation, and appropriate use of technology.

Each winner was given the opportunity to design a custom rug to be hand-woven by Landry & Arcari Oriental Rugs and Carpeting. The completed rugs will be auctioned off at the September 11 celebration honoring the winners. All proceeds will benefit Barakat, Inc., a Cambridge, MA based charity that works to strengthen education and literacy in Central and South Asia.
