Dragonflies are natural predators for mosquitoes. Make your yard a haven for dragonflies to keep pesky mosquitoes in check.

SCARCE and DuPage County Stormwater Management received a 2019 Achievement Award in the Children and Youth category from the National Association of Counties for our Water Quality Flag program. The program is offered by SCARCE in partnership with DuPage County Stormwater Management and has awarded 24 local schools and organizations since 2014 for their efforts to protect local water quality.
Where is Away? Exhibit at the West Chicago Public Library
During the month of August check out SCARCE's Where is Away? exhibit at the West Chicago Public Library. Get the answers to your questions on recycling, composting, and more with this interactive display. Starts Friday, August 2nd.

You can make a big difference in the lives of under-privileged students living in DuPage County at the annual   Back-to-School Fair. Each year, SCARCE brings thousands of books for students to choose for their very own. We need your help to make it happen!

DuPage County Stormwater Management will offer the public a rare opportunity to tour its Elmhurst Quarry Flood Control Facility on Saturday, September 21st. Past tours have sold out so get your tickets early!
Glen Ellyn Food Pantry Accepting Candles for Reuse & Recycling
The Glen Ellyn Food Pantry is currently accepting new and used candles. Used candles are being melted down into new candles and sold as a fundraiser to support the pantry. Contact the pantry about donating at 630-469-8688.
