Teacher Appreciation Week
Sometimes what seems like a small gesture has a big impact. If you haven't already said so this year, please take a moment and say, "Thank you" to one of your teachers who has made a positive impact on your school year. Write a note, send an email, make a phone call, or simply say thank you when you see on of your (or your child's) teachers.

Student Final Exam Notes, June 2024
- All examinations and projects are counted as 10% of your 4th quarter average.
- You must arrive promptly for your exam. Failure to arrive on time for the exam may result in a scheduled make-up examination.
- Make-ups should be arranged with your teacher during the make-up time.
- The cafeteria will be open before the first exam and in between the exams for students. If you arrive early for your exam you need to report to the cafeteria. You may not be in the halls, gymnasiums, or offices.
-
No student may be in the halls once an examination begins; nor are you permitted to leave the test session before the end of the examination.
- No make-ups of examinations will be permitted if you are absent from the examination unless your Assistant Principal regards the absence as exceptional. Your parent should call the Assistant Principal’s office by 8AM on the day of the exam.
- No students are permitted in the locker rooms or in the gyms during these test sessions.
- Buses will run at the normal time in the morning followed by an 11:30 AM departure.

Drop off & Pick Up Safety
|
A reminder that when exiting from the student parking lot, all drivers must exit going right. You are not permitted to make a left turn back onto Good Street. It is always enticing to save a few minutes, but the traffic signs do not permit a left turn, the crossing guards are present to assist, and ignoring the road signage could lead to an accident, which no one wants. Also, if you are turning onto Good Street from Boston Road, please make sure your directional is on as early as possible to asist the Crossing Guard controlling the traffic flow.

Big news, Billerica students! We are planning an educational trip to Ireland in June 2025! Register for the informational meeting on May 7, 2024 to learn more about this exciting opportunity here: https://rsvp.eftours.com/bwkmeke
When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have students join us on this adventure.
There are limited spots on this trip. Please attend this virtual meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!

Weekly & Daily Communication
|
As we continue to enroll new students I am rerunning this information for everyone.
Most of our communication occurs directly through our App (additional information can be found below). We have three main calendar feeds for BMHS, School, Athletics, and Fine Arts. Each Sunday evening around 8:00 p.m., the App will send out a notification that shares everything happening at BMHS for the upcoming week. The newsletter will also be sent out on Sundays, typically between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. (depending upon when the Patriots game is being played).
The App will also send out a daily notification (Monday - Friday) at 6:00 a.m. that provides the daily bell schedule (A1, A2, B1. B2) and any other events occurring that day. The morning announcements are read each day following the Pledge of Allegiance before being posted on Aspen so students and parents can access the daily announcements throughout the day.
Sunday - The Green & White Weekly (emailed and posted on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn), BMHS App (The Week Ahead)
Daily (Monday - Friday) - BMHS App (events occurring that day) 6:00 a.m., Morning Announcements (7:25 a.m.) Aspen (announcements) 7:30 a.m.
If you are not receiving these announcements, please contact my secretary, Mrs. Jenkins, to make sure we have your correct email address.

Billerica Memorial High School qualified as a Title 1 school this year. This provided us funding to run after school buses to support students involved in academic support programs after school. These buses are also available for students involved in clubs, extra help, or other school sanctioned events.
These buses will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for the remainder of the school year. The buses will depart the high school at 3:30 p.m. The four buses will service the north, south, east, and west parts of the town. The routes are located in the BMHS App under "Documents."
| |
|
The BMHS App provides quick access to timely news and upcoming events. It also allows the user to determine how often and what type of notifications they receive. The first page provides 9 options (not all options are available to all users). The "News" option provides a weekly overview of coming events at BMHS. There is also a daily announcement that includes the schedule rotation, meetings and other events occurring that day.
The "Events" option provides access to the BMHS Calendar, Fine Arts Calendar, and Athletics Calendar. Each of these calendars is dynamic and encompasses the entire school year.
The "My ID" is only available to students and staff.
The "Directory" provides access to all Staff emails and, if applicable, phone number.
The "Quicklinks" option provides quick access to Aspen, Athletics, Community Pass, Guidance, Clubs, Nutrition, and the BMHS Library sign up form.
"Documents" provides access to Bus Routes, Lunch Menus, Student Handbook, Program of Studies, Clubs and Athletics, and other documents.
The "Map" option provides driving directions to MVC schools and locations for school functions.
The "Language" icon allows the user to convert the app into one of 42 different languages.
The phone icon on the bottom of the home page will call our Absentee Line (978-528-8710).
