The annual Student Produced Arts Concert began in the mid-1990s under the stewardship of retired social studies teacher, Mr. Don Staveley. He wanted to create an opportunity for students to showcase their talents and provide a positive atmosphere as we headed into the holiday break. Each year, the student producers of the show audition talent for an opportunity to perform in front of a student audience. The show runs approximately two hours, and the cost is $5 with all proceeds going to a local charity. Tickets will be sold throughout the week. The show is one of the highlights of the school year.
Weekly & Daily Communication
|
As we continue to enroll new students I am rerunning this information for everyone.
Most of our communication occurs directly through our App (additional information can be found below). We have three main calendar feeds for BMHS, School, Athletics, and Fine Arts. Each Sunday evening around 8:00 p.m., the App will send out a notification that shares everything happening at BMHS for the upcoming week. The newsletter will also be sent out on Sundays, typically between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. (depending upon when the Patriots game is being played).
The App will also send out a daily notification (Monday - Friday) at 6:00 a.m. that provides the daily bell schedule (A1, A2, B1. B2) and any other events occurring that day. The morning announcements are read each day following the Pledge of Allegiance before being posted on Aspen so students and parents can access the daily announcements throughout the day.
Sunday - The Green & White Weekly (emailed and posted on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn), BMHS App (The Week Ahead)
Daily (Monday - Friday) - BMHS App (events occurring that day) 6:00 a.m., Morning Announcements (7:25 a.m.) Aspen (announcements) 7:30 a.m.
If you are not receiving these announcements, please contact my secretary, Mrs. Jenkins, to make sure we have your correct email address.

Illness- If your child tests positive for covid 19 please follow the current CDC guidelines. Isolate at home for 5 full days from either test date or symptom onset. Your child can resume activities on day 6 as long as they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication and are feeling better. Please contact your child’s PCP to report the positive case and to get an absence excuse note for school. Please call the absence line to report absences.
If your child is diagnosed with flu, strep, or any other illness they can return to school when they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication, free of vomiting for 24 hours, and/or when they are feeling better. Please call the absence line to report and absence, and if you want the absence excused you will need to obtain a doctor's note for the days out of school.
If your child is placed on an antibiotic for an illness they can return to school when they are fever free for 24 hours, when they have been on the antibiotic for 24 hours, and/or at the advice of their PCP.
If you have any questions about returning to school, please reach out to the BMHS nursing team at any time."

The Billerica Scholarship Foundation is collecting clothing, books, and small household items for its Fun Drive. All items collected will be weighed and BSF will be paid per pound for the items we collect. Those funds will then benefit the Class of 2024 in the form of scholarships.
We do have a storage Unit located at 128 Bridle Street, Billerica, where people may drop off their donations at their convenience. The drive ends on January 6, 2024. Ideally, it would be great if you could run this in your newsletters for the month of December.
Any questions about the Drive can be sent to sferris@idealconcreteblock.com
