President's Message

I’m writing this letter a little past the deadline. And I’m sure for those of you reading it, you’ve been frantically up against some deadline recently. It’s tax season, we are approaching spring fundraising season, and spring break is rearranging schedules for many. We are all trying to make hay while the sun is shining. And yet, I hope we can all take a breath and be grateful for how much our profession, fundraising, and the agencies we serve have endured. We are incredibly resilient and resourceful.

As a chapter we are working to be evergreen and find ways to better serve our current members and recruit new ones. Your participation makes our chapter stronger.

Speaking of staying evergreen, our Emerging Leaders Chairs invite you

to a March 19 Networking Happy Hour today at Vidorra Addison, 5 - 6:30 pm, 5100 Beltline Rd. #410, Dallas 75254. We hope anyone interested in Emerging Leaders and/or taking advantage of the Chapters mentorship program attends - that means potential mentors and mentees. As a former mentee of this program, I can attest to how invaluable it was for me professionally and personally.

I pray each of you has a successful month – no matter the metric of success!

With gratitude,

Alicia Peoples, JD

President, Greater Dallas AFP
