And the winners are...
There’s no lack of creativity in Placer County as evidenced by the number of grant applications
received by the Arts Council earlier this year. Out of more than 50 grant applications received,
the Arts Council of Placer County has agreed to fund 24 proposals.
In keeping with our mission of investing in the arts as a means of promoting community well-
being and economic growth, members of the Grants Committee looked for proposals that reflect
the diversity of our county, support the economic health of local businesses and, most
importantly, celebrate the art community.
While there were many “winners” in the eyes of the grant committee, the following organizations
captured our hearts, and proved the impacts they will have to our county. My thanks to the committee members, Arts Council staff, and to the artists who keep dreaming and creating and to the community for supporting the arts.
53 organizations/programs, applied for over $186,000.
We were proud to award $41,511 to support our arts community and help our economy thrive.
In 2022, the arts and culture sector had a $26.1 million economic impact in Placer County.
