$27 million in competitive grant funding is available. Successful projects will expand capacity and infrastructure for middle-of-the-supply-chain activities. This includes the aggregation, processing, manufacturing, storing, transporting, wholesaling, and distribution of locally and regionally produced food products, including specialty crops, dairy, grains for human consumption, aquaculture, and other value-added food products. This program does exclude meat, poultry, and wild-caught seafood from eligibility.

|
Through this program, there will be awards within two grant categories. Equipment Grants will be awarded in the $10,000 to $99,999 range and Infrastructure Grants will be awarded in the $100,000 to $3 million range. Infrastructure grants may include construction projects. Applicants may apply for either an Equipment Grant or an Infrastructure Grant.
An informational webinar about the current grant application period (open through March 6, 2024) will be held on January 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. via Zoom. Registration is required.
