Apply by Sept. 18 for the Intergenerational Program of Distinction or Program of Merit Certification
Generations United is now accepting applications to recognize outstanding intergenerational programs that are connecting younger and older people in the United States. The Program of Distinction and Program of Merit designations are based on the criteria that underpin the effectiveness of any intergenerational program and are intended to recognize the rich diversity among programs that involve older and younger generations. Applications are due September 18, 2023.

Participate in
Kent State University's Study: Supporting Custodial Grandmothers
Kent State University is seeking participants for a study focused on the Family Life Skills Training Program. Custodial grandmothers, who are raising grandchildren aged 3 to 12 without parental involvement, along with professionals and advocates in this field, are cordially invited to contribute.
The study will take place from late August to early September 2023. Participants will engage in an informative 80-minute online focus group session, followed by a brief 5-minute survey. As a gesture of appreciation, each participant will receive a monetary payment.

Funding Alert: Tribal Elder Justice Innovation Grants for Title VI Grantees
Tribal Elder Justice Innovation Grants for Title VI Grantees are now accepting applications until September 5, 2023. These grants are available to tribal governments and organizations aiming to enhance elder justice, address abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and strengthen multidisciplinary partnerships and community response. The grant type is demonstration grants with an estimated funding of $150,000 per year for two years. Great news! The CVS Health Foundation's 2023 Centering Youth Mental Health grant program is live. This opportunity is designed for locally-led coalitions committed to enhancing mental health outcomes among adolescents and young adults.
Eligibility: Coalitions in AZ, CA, FL, GA, IL, KY, MI, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, TX, VA.
Details:
- Total Grant Amount: Up to $4 million
- Award per Coalition: $1,000,000
- Disbursement: $200,000 per year over five years
- Application Deadline: September 8, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. ET.
