Five Carrollton City Schools retirees were recognized for their service to the district at the Carrollton Board of Education meeting. CHS seniors Kenyon and Scholl named National Merit Scholars | Carrollton High School seniors Edward Kenyon and Sarah Scholl, named National Merit finalists in February, have received Merit Scholar titles and will receive two of the 7,500 National Merit scholarships totaling more than $31 million. These awards will provide a full academic scholarship for Edward and Sarah. | | | |

CUES students make special friendships through CCS Education Foundation instructional grant | A pen pal relationship offers numerous benefits, including enhancing literacy skills, gaining insights into different cultures and lifestyles, and forming lasting friendships. Some pen pals even get the opportunity to meet in person, like the fourth-grade students in Ms.Whitney Meigs' class! Students became pen pals with individuals from the Carroll County Training Center (CCTC) and were able to meet them this week. The opportunity was made possible through a CCS Education Foundation instructional grant Meigs received this year. | |

Georgia State Representative David Huddleston presented the Carrollton High School debate team with a resolution on May 7 in recognition of the team’s state championship win. The program captured its 14th state title in the Public Forum debate contest earlier this spring. | |
