WHAT'S HAPPENING AT GRACE

Grace Cafe

Seventy people have signed up to participate in this wonderful experience during the summer! It is going to be a great time of fellowship and spiritual enrichment!

We will gather for dinner at 6 pm in the church house. Following dinner, the youth will go to 4B, the children to the nursery, and all adults to the sanctuary. We will view Episode 1, Season 1 of The Chosen.

In this first episode we meet Mary Magdalene, Nicodemus, Matthew, Peter and Andrew, as they all struggle about how they observe the Sabbath and what it means to be chosen.

We have had several requests to live stream our study, but unfortunately, we will not be able to do so. You can download the app “The Chosen” and watch it for free on your television, computer or phone. If you are going to be watching from home, Pastor Nancy can send you the discussion questions for you to think about.

We can't wait to come together for good food, meaningful conversations, and spiritual enrichment at Grace Café this summer. See you there!

Plant Exchange

Our monthly plant exchange is this Saturday. Bring your seeds, clippings and seedlings to exchange. From 10 am - 12 pm at the Grace House.

THIS Sunday we hope you will join us for an afternoon of fun in the sun! Dive into the refreshing pool, spike up some sand volleyball excitement, and savor delicious pizza while engaging in uplifting conversations. We'll provide pizza, water, and lemonade. Sign up here so we have enough pizza for everyone!

If you have specific beverage preferences, feel free to bring your own. See you there!

THIS SUNDAY AT GRACE

Worship - 10:15 AM

Last week, we talked about the immense power of words, and as Yehuda berg describes them as "singularly the most powerful force available to humanity." He emphasized that we can choose to use this force constructively, with words of encouragement, or destructively, with words of despair.

This week, we will continue our sermon series on "Unleashing the Power of Words" by reflecting on how easy it is to focus on the speck in another’s eye while ignoring the log in our own eye. Together, we hope to find ways to move from being "Fault-Finders to Hope Dealers." Pastor Nancy will be preaching from Matthew 7:1-5 and Galatians 5:12-15.

GENEROSITY

The Heart of Generosity - Faithfulness, Service & Love

If there is ever anything that resonates well in our quest for an exemplary life, think about faithfulness, service and love for God, community and ourselves. This new month, let us think about these 3 values as we unite as a family of God.

Expressing gratitude first thing in the morning sets the tone for our day. The more we appreciate, the more we spread that joy to others. An African proverb states that “Honey catches more flies than vinegar,” means that it is better to be kind and respectful, even to those who are not kind to you. In other words, being quick to give makes you give even to one who will never give to you.

As a family of God l hold the belief that one by one makes a bundle. Your faithfulness, service and love shine at Grace and because of your generosity, we remain resolute and resilient as one family of God. Therefore, as we navigate through the rest of the months, let’s be bonded as a family; look out for the needs of the church and others as a way of gratitude. “The wise man does not lay up his own treasures. The more he gives to others, the more he has for his own.” – Lao Tzu. My final reflection is on these great minds for you. Melody Beattie notes, "Gratitude turns what we have into enough." Rebecca Solnit actually puts it livelier, "Every minute of every hour of every day you are making the world, and just as you are making yourself, and you might as well do it with generosity and kindness and style."
