Judy grew up in New York City, the child of Jewish parents, and became a Christian in adult life. She holds BA and MA degrees from the University of Chicago, and a JD from the Illinois Institute of Technology. She practiced law for 20 years before receiving her M.Div at McCormick Theological Seminary and becoming ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament (teaching elder) in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Judy was the solo pastor of Vernon Presbyterian Church in Big Bend, WI for 10 years prior to moving to the Twin Cities three years ago. She is a Parish Associate at Westminster Presbyterian Church, and serves on the staff of its Counseling Center as a mediator. Judy mediates a variety of cases through the Minneapolis Conflict Resolution Center. She currently serves the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area on the Committee on Ministry. Judy is married to Michael Lindh, a financial professional with Nuveen Investments, and the similarity of their different last names has confounded people for the past thirty years. They have one son, Jonathan, who is an accountant in Chicago.
