Children's Choir starts this Sunday!

Miss Irene is excited to announce ‘Ways to Praise’ as the theme for Grace Lutheran Children’s Choir this year. We will begin rehearsing on September 4th, 2:50-3:30 in the Choir Room and will rehearse weekly thereafter. All children ages 5-10 are welcome. Questions: contact Irene at 704-517-5403.
Fall music programs are starting this week!

Grace Ringers will begin on August 29 at 6:20 pm.

Grace Alone will begin on August 29 at 7:20pm.

Parish Choir will begin on August 31 at 7:00 pm.

John 'Jack' Lockwood
1941 - 2022
 
Members and friends, we are sad to inform you of the death of our brother, Jack Lockwood. We have no further information at this time, an obituary will follow next week.
 
We hold close in prayer Bea, their children, and all those who mourn this loss. We trust in the eternal promise of the resurrection and entrust Jack to the heavenly care of Jesus Christ.
WELCM Gatherings are starting up again and we would love your help to give our college students a home-cooked meal each Thursday night at the White House! The sign up sheet and ideas for menu options will be posted in the Fellowship Hall starting Sunday! Reach out to Olga-Maria at 502-644-0176, or omcruz@welcm.org with any questions!
Grace Craft Group
A new craft group is starting Tuesday, Sept. 6 from 11 am to 1 pm in Room 107! Sabrina Blanks is coordinating this group of crafters of any skill level and any craft, with the group’s purpose to craft items that will be donated to different organizations in need of those items (for example, knitted or crocheted winter hats and scarves). Grace Craft Group will meet the first Tuesday of each month, with an option to join via Zoom if you prefer. Bring any craft supplies you’d like to use, plus Sabrina will have some extra yarn, crochet hooks, and knitting needles. She is happy to teach beginners to crochet or knit! Join the Rock Hill Afternoon of Poetry and Pose as our Grace member, Donna Wylie shares from her new book of poetry, Born to Be Me at The Mercantile HQ on September 11 at 2pm.

OUTREACH UPDATES AND OPPORTUNITIES
Bethel Men's Shelter has volunteer positions available for you to sign up for now! If you'd like to learn more about these positions, and/or would like to sign up, please click HERE.

You can drop items off in the bin located outside the church offices when you're in the building, and a volunteer will take them over to HOPE. Please only place non-perishable items in the bin!
