There are many opportunities to connect with and care for our guests during this week. We have spots for setting up, Dinner Hosts, Evening Hosts, Overnight Hosts, and resetting.

Each of these roles helps provide a safe, welcoming home for our guests, and we want to be sure that they have a wonderful experience every night they are with us. Your participation makes a difference!

Grace Endowment Fund
100th Anniversary Gifts

On Sunday, we heard from Grace Extended Ministry Endowment Fund Committee Chair Craig Ketner, who shared an invitation with us!

This month, our anniversary month, we are invited to join in the legacy of Grace. 100 years ago, the legacy began with those who pooled their resources and built Grace. Now, that legacy carries on in our ministry, and in our Extended Ministry - this is what the Endowment Fund is for. The Fund gives grants to 'above and beyond' ministries of our congregation and community, making more ministry possible.

This Fund, and the amount of grant money available, grow through gifts from Grace members and friends. This month, please consider taking part in growing this Fund and supporting extended ministry by giving a special gift to the Endowment! You can give this gift through the offering plate, via online giving, or by mail.

Thank you for your support of the Grace Endowment Fund and for considering a gift this month!
Summer Book Study

This summer, Grace will host a book study centered on "The Color of Compromise" by Jemar Tisby.

Dates and times of this study will be coming soon.

The church will be purchasing several copies of this book, but if you'd like to get a head start, it is available on Amazon and through bookstores.

Come join us on Thursday June 22 for a special walk down memory lane when Seniors@Grace share a meal from the 1998 Filled With Grace cookbook. Our yummy lunch will feature a vintage recipe for chicken cacciatore that Sue Waataja contributed to the cookbook and Jean Faut’s earthquake cake. Then after lunch we will share our stories to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of Grace Lutheran Church. Come prepared to share a story that connects you to the church. Make plans to come at our usual time of 11:30 am with lunch at noon. Please RSVP to Annie Laurie Wheat by June 20th. Cell phone 803 517-0626 or by email at

100 Connections
We have 26/100!

"I met Ms. Diamond on a 2nd grade field trip to Discovery Place" - Justin

"I was at our neighborhood's monthly Bunco game night and met Ashley. She mentioned her daughter went to Winthrop so I told her about Grace's Campus Ministry." - Traci

"Madelynne & I sat next to Charlie at the Miranda Sings show in Charlotte in March. They were sweet and nervous to be there alone. They travelled from Chicago to see the show! We gave them some fun suggestions for restaurants and places to visit in Charlotte. Loved sharing stories of our mutual admiration for Colleen Ballinger’s comedic talents as Miranda." - Lori

We are constantly making connections in our lives - as part of our 100th anniversary, we are making at least 100 new connections as a congregation! To share a connection you've made, please click HERE!

Communion, Anyone?

As you may have noticed, we are sending Home Communion out to those who wish to receive the sacrament but cannot easily attend worship on Sunday mornings. Would you like to receive Communion in this way? Do you know someone who might? Please let the Church Office know, so we can meet these needs and extend God's Grace in this way!
Biggest needs this week at HOPE:
Paper Products, Snacks, Kid's juice packs (Capri Sun)

You can drop items off in the bin located outside the church offices and a volunteer will take them over to HOPE. Please only place non-perishable items in the bin!
Dear Grace Family,
Thank you so very much for all the heart felt prayers, cards, notes, phone calls, and loving words of encouragement you have given us following the death of my sister Vicky Knox.
The love and care you have provided has helped lift us up and sustained us during this difficult time.
 Peace in Christ,
Wally, Betty Sue Seigler and Family
