I appreciate bestselling authors, Mel Robbins (The 5 Second Rule) and James Clear (Atomic Habits) addressing this. I have made many vision boards and sometimes they have felt motivating, while other times the same picture of an athlete with 6-pack abs reminds me of how far I am from that. Research shows there's a better way to create what you want!

Ask yourself, "Who do I want to become?" What would that person do?". For example, is your health important to you? If yes, ask, "What would a healthy person do? What would they do daily? ".

Instead of saying, I am quitting smoking, say I AM a non-smoker. Step into the identity of the person doing the things you want to do.

Nobody's perfect so compare yourself only to yesterday's YOU. What will 'tomorrow Chantelle' be super happy that 'today Chantelle' did? Emptied the dishwasher, made lunch, went to bed at 10 p.m.? What will 'tomorrow YOU' be grateful that YOU did today?

Ginger Lemon Honey shots
Ginger and lemon are amazing for the immune system. Make them spicy by adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or sweeter by using manuka honey or coconut water. You can add hot water to make it into a tea or down it in a shot. I made it super simple and did 1 cup fresh lemon juice with 1 TB squeeze ginger with 2 tsp manuka honey. 30 seconds in my magic bullet and viola! Great way to protect yourself this winter from colds and flus.
