Kudos to Emma Caspar who is a food pantry produce market rockstar. She volunteers with the food pantry twice a week and does an amazing job ensuring all customers have a great experience picking out their produce. Her knowledge about produce is fantastically helpful, and her warmth, patience and compassion are loved by our customers.
Applause for Fetch, American Family Procurements Department and UW Graduate Business Association for sending teams of folks to help us with our spring spruce up. Teams painted, planted and organized our pantry. Many hands made tremendously light work!
Many, many thanks to the UW-Madison move-out food gleaners! They battled the campus moving out traffic to help the food pantry collect nearly 2,000 pounds of food from students leaving campus. Thank you, Arnold De Camps, Mary Jorgensen, Anna Heimbecher, Tyler Hendricks, Sandra Hunter, Jeanne Lerum, Max Molot, Barry Radler, Dave Siebert, Michael Tracy, Jen Van Wart and Sam West!
Tremendous shout out to everyone who donated food through the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive through the Southside Madison Post Office. Nearly 5,300 pounds were donated! It filled our large transit van, two cars and a minivan! Thanks to Emily Fornof, Mary Myers, and Sandra and John Hunter for helping with this donation.
