FabFest is Only Five Weeks Away!

FabFest about town this week! We'll have FabFest tables out in the community throughout September and will raffle off a pair of free tickets at each event. Come say hi and learn how to get involved!

FabFest-Eve Film Event! Our friends at Independent Picture House will be running a special 60th Anniversary screening of A Hard Day's Night (1964) on October 1-3. On Thursday, Oct. 3rd FabFest Author Bruce Spizer will present at 6:30 before the film, and lead a Q&A discussion afterward. Seats are limited so plan ahead to get your tickets early. Tosco Music Beatles Tribute

8pm Friday, Oct. 4 at Knight Theater

The Beatles party to end all Beatles parties! The popularity of this Charlotte tradition inspired Tosco Music to build FabFest into a weekend festival that brings together fans of all ages and cultures to celebrate the music and legacy of the Beatles. This year the festival opens Friday night with the 20th Anniversary of Tosco Music Beatles Tribute, a uniquely wonderful evening of local and regional acts performing Beatles songs in a variety of musical genres! Plus Beatles singalongs with a thousand fellow Beatles fans!

Live and Let Die:

The Music of Paul McCartney

8pm Saturday, Oct. 5 at Knight Theater

Hailed by the media as “The Quintessential Paul McCartney” – Tony Kishman is a veteran of the Broadway smash hit musical "Beatlemania" and is regarded by “Beatlemaniacs” as the world’s best McCartney look-alike/sound-alike. The critically-acclaimed show features an amazing line-up of world class musicians and sets high performance standards as it celebrates the music of Paul McCartney.

10am-5pm Saturday, Oct. 5

CPCC's Parr Center

An inclusive celebration with 2 live music stages, a Family Fun Room, author presentations, mega memorabilia, FabFest Marketplace, Beatles Art Contest exhibition and sale, Beatles Rock Band Video Game Room, rare Beatles video, plus FREE activities outside at Strawberry Field (CPCC Quad): Beatles yoga, food trucks, games, Beatles Open Mic and more! Parr Center is a beautiful, state-of-the-art gathering space on the campus of Central Piedmont Community College with plenty of free parking for the day.

JURIED BEATLES ART CONTEST

Art submissions are already coming in! We'll be featuring past Beatles Art Contest artwork along with this year's entries on social media in September, so follow along at @FabFestCharlotte on Instagram and Facebook!

$750 top prize! Artists of all ages are invited to celebrate The Beatles and their influence on music, art, and culture by submitting their Beatles-inspired artwork. Deadline to submit art is extended to September 21.

Finalists will be selected to display their artwork at FabFest Daytime, and will also have the opportunity to sell their artwork or donate it to support Tosco Music programs.

"We get by with a little help from our friends..."

FabFest-Charlotte's Beatles Festival wouldn’t be possible without the help of our many gracious volunteers.

Right now we're especially looking for a few more music-loving folks who are game to help at FabFest Daytime in Volunteer Lead roles (8hr shift) or in 4-hr shifts for load-in and/or load-out before and after events. AT FABFEST DAYTIME

With two live music stages, FabFest Daytime offers two ways for you to bring your best Beatles songs to the festival!

Beatles Open Mic - Advance registration is highly encouraged; walk-ons will only be allowed if time permits. Open to all performers – any age, style, instrument, solo performers, duos, trios, and bands. Beatles Open Mic performers will be notified in advance of their time slot to perform. Learn More

Beatles Cover Song Contest -

Open to all performers – any age, style, instrument, solo performers, duos, trios, and bands. Apply by Sep 21 with a video and finalists chosen to perform will be notified by September 28. Cash prizes!
