The Wolff New Venture Competition features live pitches by the top startups coming out of UConn and gives away over $50,000 in non-dilutive funding to the startups each year.
The legwork for the Wolff New Venture Competition begins in the spring, where 10 startups are hand selected by an independent panel to participate in the CCEI Summer Fellowship Program. After this eight-week accelerator, the teams present their final pitches, and the top startups are selected to compete in the Wolff New Venture Competition; chosen on a basis of venture viability and value added to the market.
At the event, a panel of venture experts then decides which teams are worthy of the $50,000+ in awards funding! The event is free and open to all.

How To Get Through Procastination
The first set of exams are kicking in this semester! Yes, it can get overwhelming which leads to procrastination. Let us help you break that habit with a few tips and tricks given by Emilah Mumthanu, a third year business student here at UConn:
"I usually tend to find a location that is a bit of a walk from my dorm, just so I am able to reward myself with going home. I try to finish my tasks in one sitting, with a 5-minute break given when each task is done. That break would consist of being off the screen (a quick snack break, etc). I also like to put on playlists that make me feel like I am in need of getting my work done faster. That includes the Mario Kart background music soundtrack. Although, when needing to study, I would say I like chill lofi beats, chill indie, or soft background music to put me in the mood to memorize concepts. If interested, you guys should go check the playlists out below!"
