New 1-Credit Pop-Up Courses | |

Despite Islam having almost 2 billion adherents across the globe, Muslims are subjected to damaging stereotypes, oppression, and violence simply because of their identities. Why and how is this the case? This 1-credit course offers an overview of responses to that question, with a specific emphasis on the diversity of Muslim identities, positionalities, and perspectives within the US in global context.

This course will first and foremost introduce students to the diverse nature of Jewish identity, before examining the many manifestations of Jewish hatred throughout history, and the ways in which Jews have attempted to respond to a hatred that refuses to disappear.

The Global Business Leadership in Sustainability Summit (GBLSS) is a half-day event that gathers professionals, alumni, faculty, and students to discuss key sustainability topics for business.
The 2024 GBLSS agenda "The Climate Challenge and the Quantum Leap: Business, Energy, and Infrastructure", will address current issues of the energy transition and the value stream of delivering clean energy and discuss where we are in the ESG conversation. Sessions will feature representatives from UConn, the public sector, and the corporate sector to respond to critical questions from a sustainable and responsible business perspective. As in previous years, we also include a panel showcasing the work of a few young alumni making an impact in their respective industries and a session highlighting current UConn student initiatives related to sustainability. There will be a networking break between the panel sessions to allow attendees to connect.

The proposed accelerated Master of Science in Social Responsibility & Impact in Business (MSSRIB) is a dynamic program tailored for UConn undergraduate students enrolled at the Storrs campus. This program offers an expedited path to the 30-credit master's degree that equips you with the skills to drive positive change in the business world.

Travelers Product Management Development Program (PMDP) is a rotational program that allows participants to experience facets of Product Management, joining either Personal Insurance or Business Insurance Select Accounts team. After 12 weeks of training on insurance, actuarial, underwriting, and technology, participants will work alongside members of PMDP leadership teams, strengthening participants’ abilities to think critically, creatively, and strategically.
The Travelers PMDP team will be facilitating the following professional development workshop in the School of Business. This is an opportunity to learn more about the PMDP program as well as participate in an interactive workshop.

CIMBA Scholarship Opportunity | |

CIMBA is offering UConn students interested in studying abroad in Fall 2024 a $3,000 scholarship towards their program fee. CIMBA is a direct-bill program that offers students an opportunity to take a variety of Business Core courses abroad. Here are some resources to help you explore the CIMBA program:

Direct-Bill Programs charge students directly for their program costs. Students pay the affiliate program directly for their fees, whereas other UConn fees will appear on students’ UConn fee bills as listed on the program’s budget sheet. Students can use Federal Financial Aid on a CIMBA program, however, they cannot use UConn specific financial aid/scholarships (i.e. Merit Scholarship or tuition-waiver) on the CIMBA program.

The material you would like to review with us must be assigned by a current course in the School of Business. Upon registering for your appointment, you will be requested to provide the assignment guideline sheet and other necessary documents for the Lab staff to fully understand the scope of the task or project.
