The Easter post-resurrection texts are stories of the appearances of the Risen Christ among his disciples and others.The resurrection “promise” will be an inquiry to what happened and the meaning of it to the witnesses who were there. How can we make connections between the Easter gospels and the faith we profess every time we recite the Creed, “the third day he rose again in accordance with the

CHORAL EVENSONG WITH RECEPTION

Choral Evensong is offered on special Sundays throughout the church year. Evensong, or Evening Prayer, is among our most traditionally Anglican liturgies, witnessing the Church’s
ancient devotion of praying each day’s hours. Hosted at Good Shepherd, this service comprises hymns, canticles, psalmody and scripture, and the distribution of Communion. A reception will follow in the Parish Life Center after the service.
ST. ANNES GUILD MEETING

St. Anne’s Guild is a women’s organization dedicated to social, intellectual, and spiritual enrichment achieved through monthly fellowship and programs. The featured speaker at this meeting will be George Dehan, past president of our beloved Camp Allen, who will highlight all the wonderful new programs and projects underway in support of the Camp.

HONORING GRADUATING SENIORS

Each year Good Shepherd honors our graduating high school seniors with a special prayer of blessing and a festive treat on the common following the service. This year we will honor our seniors on Sunday, May 5 during our 10:30a service in the nave. We will also print the names of all graduating seniors who would like to be included in our bulletin on May 5. To help us honor your graduating student and celebrate with your family, please complete this form no later than Sunday, April 28.

Join Good Shepherd’s Team 102 for the Mobile Loaves & Fishes Food Truck prep and run. Sign up to prepare sandwiches and load the truck from 4:00p–5:00p at the Mobile Loaves and Fishes Commissary (at St. John Neumann’s Catholic Church). You may also sign up for the truck run from 5:00p7:00p, where you’ll take food to several locations around Austin. All volunteers are welcome!

COMMUNITY FIRST! VILLAGE: MOVE-INS

Community First! Village (CF!V) is a 51-acre community that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for people coming out of chronic homelessness. Come be a part of the Spirit at work in our community. We will meet at Community First! Village and we will be guided to one of the new homes to clean and furnish for unhoused neighbors. This is a wonderful opportunity for families with teens to serve together. All volunteers are welcome. Click HERE to sign up.
TRINITY STREETS

At Trinity Streets, we serve meals for 40-65 people coming in off the streets of downtown Austin on Sunday afternoons. Volunteers serve by preparing and serving meals, hosting a worship service for those coming to Trinity Center, and cleaning the kitchen afterwards. To register please click HERE.
