From The Field: Uganda
CEO Scott Fifer's Call for #Perspective
|
In January, Scott visited our partner, Children of Peace Uganda, and met youth who are rebuilding their lives after surviving the atrocities brought on by Joseph Kony and his rebel army. He witnessed the resilience of the human spirit and saw "a people who refuse to be broken." Click to read more from #Perspective, his blog post about this trip.

Have You Ever Dreamed Of Being A Hero?
|
GO Campaign uses grassroots giving to provide support to Local Heroes who are improving the lives of children in the U.S. and abroad. By partnering with individuals like you, we are able to support the efforts of our Local Heroes to be agents of change.
Become an Everymonth Hero
and know that, every month, you are making an instant impact in the lives of vulnerable children around the world.
One of our partners in Tanzania has created a special way to say thanks:

Oh, The Opportunities We Give!
|
Last year, we gave opportunities to nearly 30,000 children in 18 countries through our work with 53 Local Heroes. Here are some of the amazing things that our Local Heroes have been doing thanks to the support of generous donors:
- In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Neema Namadamu is working to ensure that puberty is not a barrier to girls' education.
- In Paraguay, Favio Chavez is helping youth make music out of trash.
- In Nepal, Mahesh Bhattarai is leading the effort to repair schools destroyed by the 2015 earthquakes.
- In Haiti, Daniel Tillias is reducing youth violence through employment programs.
- In Los Angeles, Georgie Smith and Melissa Goddard are housing former foster youth to give them a sense of home.
Together, we are making a big difference in the lives of children from East LA to East Africa. We look forward to giving more children opportunities in 2016!

Heard About Our New GO Ambassadors?
|
After years of support, Ewan McGregor and Robert Pattinson have signed on to become GO Campaign Ambassadors. In their new roles, they will assist us with communicating our mission and impact to individuals and organizations interested in our work. They will also help raise GO Campaign's profile in the philanthropic sector as we celebrate our upcoming milestone:
our 10-year anniversary!
When we asked Ewan and Rob about their interest in working
more closely with GO Campaign, here is what they said:
"...I've been involved with GO Campaign from its early days...
Stepping into the role of official ambassador for GO Campaign
is
a
natural progression and one I'm happy to make."
-Ewan McGregor
"I've eagerly followed the growing impact GO Campaign
has
had
over the years, on so many children and youth,
and I love how tangible and transparent it is..."
-Robert Pattinson

Reliving The Moment: 2015 GO GO Gala
|
Our 8th Annual GO GO Gala, held on November 12th, was hosted by GO Ambassador Ewan McGregor and featured incredible performances by British performing artist FKA twigs as well as members of the Recycled Orchestra, GO's partner in Paraguay.
GO Ambassador Robert Pattinson, Kate Hudson, Katy Perry, Vin Diesel, and more than 300 other guests turned out for the event, raising thousands of dollars for orphans and vulnerable children worldwide. We fully funded both of the Fund-A-Need appeals: a Girls Health Advocacy-led workshop for girls in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a classroom for the Recycled Orchestra in Paraguay.
Beachbody, our gala sponsor, generously matched the first $100,000 in guest donations, doubling the impact of each gift to afford more children more opportunities!
Made it, missed it, or just want to relive the moment with us?
