Introducing the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready Grant Program


To further support active users of Verizon Small Business Digital Ready,Verizon in partnership with LISC has allocated $1M in grant funding to small businesses over the course of 2023. To unlock this grant application, you must have an account on Verizon Small Business Digital Ready and complete any combination of two courses, coaching events, and virtual community events (e.g., one course and one coaching event, one course and one virtual community event, two courses, or two events) between July 1, 2023, and December 20, 2023, and submit a grant application by December 20, 2023.

Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund


Funded by DoorDash, the Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund provides $10,000 grants to local restaurants affected by state- or federally-declared natural disasters. Applications for the current round close December 29, 2023, at 6 p.m. ET.

Art On The Ave NYC

This community-based project supports local artists while bringing life and color to our neighborhoods. The interactive gallery spotlights artists who have produced work around the theme of, “Connections.” This exhibition is a collaboration between Art on the Ave NYC and the Inwood Merchant Association, with the support of NoMAA.

Congratulations Maria Flores!


Maria Flores of Maria Flores Daycare was recently recognized as an Entrepreneur of the Year for nurturing the next generation in Washington Heights by the Empire State Development Entrepreneurship Assistance Center. Flores was one of seven entrepreneurs honored during the ESD's 36th annual training and awards Building Strong Communities Through Entrepreneurship conference. ESD's entrepreneurship Assistance Centers help entrepreneurs and small businesses launch and grow throughout New York State.
