Dear Roxanna,
In the 2022-2023 school year, the Board of Trustees decided that our school would go through an accreditation process. The accreditation process would work to affirm that our school is providing a quality education and meeting and maintaining standards of quality. Attaining accreditation would show that we provide excellence in education and are standing out in our service to the young men entrusted to our care. The accreditation process was a three-part process; self-assessment, review data and analyses stakeholder input.
In September, we hosted the first part of the process called the candidacy phase. We were found to have met the criteria for the candidacy phase and moved into the accreditation phase. The administration, faculty and staff worked diligently in completing the three parts of the process.
It is with great pride that I inform you that we have met the criteria and have been recommended for accreditation. The decision of accreditation was based on the results of a challenging process, and we could not do it without your support.
Our journey of growth continued and led me to the Lasallian Animator Meeting, where I had the opportunity to grow in the Lasallian Charism shared by The Brothers of the Christian Schools with their partners. This gathering was to support growing and sharing of the charism, and to help our school maintain La Salle’s spirit in the ways in which we teach and learn.
This was a great opportunity to reflect a conscious effort to educate all members of our community about Saint John Baptist de LaSalle and Lasallian spirituality. Throughout the next school year, we will host opportunities to make connections between the Lasallian charism and our school's mission and values through information sessions, prayers, Founders and Saints Days Celebrations and other initiatives. We look forward to you joining is sharing in the Lasallian Charism.
On Tuesday, March 26 at 7:00pm, we will have our Lenten Prayer service. Our 8th grade young men are diligently working on the reenactment of the Stations of the Cross. Please join us as community, a family, united in prayer because “ Where two or three are gathered in My name, I am in the midst of them.”
As we approach Holy Week, when we will commemorate Jesus' last days and crucifixion,
let us take the opportunity to understand that our God is not one of coincidence. His acts of love are intentional. Every step toward the cross was intentional, his assuring God that His will would be done was intentional, every lesson laced with His personal love for all of us was intentional. We ask God to strengthen us so that we can be intentional in caring for his people. We know that is this intentional love that drives you to support our mission. Thank you for following Jesus’ lead of being intentional.
SAINT JOHN BAPTIST DE LA SALLE…PRAY FOR US
LIVE JESUS IN OUR HEARTS…FOREVER!
