Global ARCH participates in Children's HeartLink 50th gala
Global ARCH was honoured to be an invited participant at a recent global summit on congenital heart disease convened by Children's HeartLink in honour of its 50 th  anniversary. Global ARCH's president, Amy Verstappen, and Vice President Disty Pearson, were in attendance, alongside over 50 non-profit leaders, health care providers, and health policy experts from around the world. The day’s focus was to identify new strategies to accelerate the care for congenital heart patients in low- and middle-income countries. Global ARCH’s presentation focused on the unique challenges faced by patients and families in low-resource settings, and the positive impact that patient and family groups can have on these challenges.
Congratulations to Pakistan Children's Heart Foundation (PCHF) for their tremendous achievements - over a 3-day period their expert cardiac team performed cardiac surgery on 23 little hearts in south Punjab! The PCHF, in collaboration with TZP Trust, held an Advanced International Pediatric Cardiology Capacity Building Workshop in Multan from September 26-29, 2019. The aim was to help local pediatric cardiology teams in Children Hospital Multan and Multan Institute of Cardiology get up to date on the latest techniques in interventional cardiology being practiced worldwide. The PCHF has funded 1747 pediatric surgeries to date. Click HERE for more information.
