United For Impact:

Imagine What We Can Do Together

Did you hear?

Giving Tuesday is Tuesday, November 28!

Show your support for the work that United Way of West Central Connecticut does for those living and working in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, and Plymouth on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

To get you ready for Giving Tuesday, did you know our mission has 3 focus areas? We do!

Here are a few facts about how we support the community in the areas of Health, Education, and Financial Stability.

Health - We work hard to help every person to have access to a healthy life – whether that’s affordable health care resources, healthy food, or shelter. Last year, over 14,000 in our service area utilized United Way 211 for free information and referral services.

Education - Our goal is to make sure every child has the skills o succeed in school and is equipped for work and life. Over 400 students received a new donated backpack and school supplies through the annual Adopt-A-Child Backpack program.

Financial Stability - Connecting people to skill-building training and support to obtain good-paying jobs and opportunities for career advancement is a part of the work we do.

470 local individuals filed their 2022 tax returns, at no cost, through VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program.

Ways YOU Can Support

Your Community

Joy of Sharing - Toy Drive

December 4 - 6

Bring some holiday cheer to children and families in our four towns. We collect brand-new toys for children ages 3 to 14, that are given to families who need extra support this holiday season. Toys are distributed to area agencies who apply for assistance.
