Purpose + Passion = Impact
There's still time to register for the 2022 Summit November 30-December 1 at The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club. Themed Purpose + Passion = Impact, this signature event brings together association professionals and suppliers from all aspects of association management.
As WSAE celebrates our 75th anniversary, we mark 75 years of:
- Supporting the purpose of associations across the state
- Sharing in the passion we all have for the success of Wisconsin's associations
- Having a profound impact on this state's social and economic climate
We are very excited for both the Summit's planned education sessions, for which you can earn up to 7 CAE credits, and the “experience” style networking events offered. And you won't want to miss closing keynote Jason Kotecki and his mindset-challenging art!

Ethical and Informed Decision Making Program Facilitator
I am in the process of working with a team to update our leadership development institute. We are looking for a consultant/facilitator to lead a virtual session on ethical and informed decision making. Any names/programs my colleagues in the association world can share would be greatly appreciated!

Needs Assessment Vendor
My association will be conducting an industry needs assessment to help inform our new strategic plan, and we are looking for a consultant to lead this process. Has anyone used an outside consultant for this purpose, and do you have any recommendations? It doesn't have to be a Wisconsin-based company as we are 100% remote.

#GivingTuesday - WSAE's Move Mountains Giving Campaign
WSAE’s Move Mountains campaign is an annual giving program, providing members, organization and industry partners the opportunity to give back to the Society that has been committed to “creating meaningful connections and enhancing competencies of association professionals” in Wisconsin for more than 75 years.
The funds we raise through this campaign will be used at a time when there is a real need for the organization. The funds raised in 2021 were used to support the continued participation of members experiencing hardship due to COVID-related factors.
WSAE supports association professionals and, through Moving Mountains, you can support WSAE and its important mission.

Twenty-three Wisconsin bankers and 11 banks were honored by the Wisconsin Bankers Foundation (WBF) for their efforts in promoting financial literacy to Wisconsin’s consumers. WBF is the nonprofit arm of the Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) whose mission is to promote financial literacy and financial capability to the public and to broaden consumer empowerment in the financial services industry through research, education, grants and scholarships.
“Each year, I am amazed by the incredible efforts of bankers across our state as they make their way into classrooms, community centers, and retirement facilities to ensure access to invaluable financial education,” said Rose Oswald Poels, chair of the Wisconsin Bankers Foundation Board. “Bankers throughout the state continue to prove their commitment to their communities through outstanding efforts to support the financial wellness of consumers.”

ASAE Will Provide Comment on FTC's Proposed Trade Regulation Rule on Impersonation Scams
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued a notice of proposed rulemaking and request for public comment on government and business impersonation fraud that has impacted a broad range of industries, trade shows and events and has grown worse during the pandemic.
The FTC blog titled, Pulling the mask off impersonation scams: How they impact your business, states, “Impersonators have come up with B2B-specific forms of fraud that target members of certain industries, often cutting and pasting names and logos to bolster the illusion of legitimacy. It’s all bogus, but by the time the businesses find out, the scammers have vanished with their money.”
The FTC is looking for public feedback on the proposed rule on Impersonation of Government and Business. Comments on the rule are due on December 16, 2022, and ASAE will be among the associations responding. View instructions on how to submit and associations feedback on the advance notice of proposed rulemaking.
