 Rotary is an international humanitarian service organization. Our members are business and professional leaders who volunteer their expertise, compassion and power to improve lives here in Gilmer County, and in more than 200 countries around the world. 

Rotary's top goal has been to eradicate Polio worldwide. Rotary members have contributed more than US $1 Billion and countless volunteer hours to help immunize more than 2 billion children in 122 countries. In 1985 there were over 350,000 documented cases of polio around the world. Due to the efforts of Rotarians the known cases last year were 212. Here in Gilmer County they contribute dollars and labor to over 19 different charities. We could use your help. 

If you have an interest in making our county and the world a better place, please consider joining in the effort. The Chamber of Commerce office can provide the Rotary contact information that you need to join.

MD Preferred Recognizes John White of Financial Guideposts for Service to Medical Professionals

In recognition of his work with area health care executives and physicians, MD Preferred, an online resource center for medical professionals, has recognized John A. White of Financial Guideposts as an affiliated financial adviser for the second consecutive year.
Model Airplane Flying Contest at the Gilmer County Airport
