Giga Pets are HOT!

This past January at the Atlanta Gift Show, Tangle introduced a number of items from Top Secret Toys that they would be distributing. These included the Thumbler, SpinPop Lollipop, Pre-Casso Plus, Aero-Drone, Hovertech, and a great line of "Dissect It". It also included Giga Pets.

I truly knew these would not sell. I placed them up high so as to feature all these wonderful new items. "Specialty does not want an electric gadgety toy."

Oh was I mistaken. After the first day, I learned how wrong I was. I've been learning everyday since.

Giga Pets has become both one of our most popular toys, but also one of the ones most frequently reordered.

Having never played with one, nor seeing them in action, I turned to where else...Wikipedia, to learn more. (I may not be the only one, so I share this with you)

What Is A Giga Pet?

"Giga Pets are digital pet toys that were first released by Tiger Electronics in the U.S. in 1997. To insure a happy, healthy pet, it's owner has to take care of it similar to how one might care for a real animal, including feeding, cleaning, and playing with their Giga Pet.

A beep sound and alert icon notify the owner that the pet requires attention. To determine the Giga Pet's needs, owners must scroll through various activities and push a button to select one.

Activities include but are not limited to bathing, exercising, and disciplining the pet. Sometimes a selected activity is refused, and the owner has to try a different one. A running score determines the pet's overall well being; neglect leads to a pets demise. The average life of a Giga Pet is 2 weeks but very healthy pets can live longer."
