"How to Preserve PW History"

Presbyterian Women Zoom Webinar

When: Friday, May 3 • 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm (Central)

“Presbyterian Women historians preserve the record and write the story of how its participants and organizations serve God, the church, and the world”—PW Historian Brochure, 2018.

Take your place in PW history! Join PW national leadership and David Staniunas, archivist for the Presbyterian Historical Society and PC(USA) assistant stated clerk, to discuss preserving PW history and what that looks like in the current PW and PC(USA) context.

David will provide information on what, how, and where to preserve your PW group’s materials. There will be time for ideas, hearing current practices, questions, and concerns.

All are welcome! The role of PW historian looks different across our national network. Please join the conversation if this is or will become part of your leadership role or if you are otherwise interested in preserving PW history.

Thursday, May 2 is National Day of Prayer

How will you observe it?

In periods of peace and prosperity and in times of struggle and strife, countless Americans turn to prayer to seek guidance, bolster our faith, and brace our spirits when we need it most. Prayer is both a personal and communal act — composed of our most intimate thoughts and a practice observed by multitudes across our diverse Nation in every language, culture, religion, and belief system. On this National Day of Prayer, we recognize the profound power of prayer, grounded in deep humility and hope.

Missouri Right to

Reproductive Freedom Amendment

The Missouri Right to Reproductive Freedom Amendment Initiative Petition is collecting signatures now. If enough signatures are collected, this will appear on the ballot in November 2024.

The amendment will amend the Missouri Constitution to provide the right to reproductive freedom.

The Public Witness Team offers an opportunity for all Giddings-Lovejoy churches. One of our team will come to your church with Reproductive Freedom petition sheets to collect signatures. The most successful time to collect signatures is after Sunday services during the Fellowship Hour, but we can come whenever is best for you.

To learn more or if you are interested in participating, please click here for more information.
