Introducing New Castle Career Center's Newest Instructors

The New Castle Career Center welcomes five new instructors to its team: Mike Campbell, Zoe Pew, Amber Raines, Karen Stephenson, and Tim Welch. Each instructor brings a wealth of experience and passion to their respective programs. Their backgrounds and expertise will leave a lasting impact on their students' educational journeys.

Instructors Bring Experience and Passion to Career Center Roles

Instructors Faith Ebbert, Brent Hickman, Kilyssa Hamm, and Jason McCutchan are excited to return to the New Castle Career Center for the 2024-25 school year. They started last semester in these new roles and look forward to empowering students in their chosen fields.

Precision Machining Students Gain Paid Apprenticeships

Asher Perrin, a Senior at New Castle High School, and Trent Larrison, a Senior at Eastern Hancock, have been working at Kent Machine since June. The students gained skills at NCCC in Precision Machining, have paid apprenticeships, and are continuing to earn Machining college credits while finishing high school. 

Fire & Rescue Program Underway

The New Castle Career Center's Fire and Rescue students have been spending time at the Training Grounds ready to practice skills. These future heroes will earn college credit, industry certifications, and a graduation pathway.

New Castle Bicentennial Invests In New Castle Career Center's Future

New Castle celebrated its Bicentennial in 2023 with community spirit and meaningful contributions. Through generous donors, the Bicentennial committee recently announced a $16,700 donation to support New Castle Career Center students.

Computer Operations students are learning parts of a computer by taking computers apart.

Culinary I students made scratch pancakes and are learning measuring skills. They also made quick pickles and learned knife safety and skills.

The NCCC first year Cosmetology students practiced scalp treatments. These future cosmetologists will earn college credits, their cosmetology license, and the graduation pathway.

EMT students have been busy practicing skills. Here, they are practicing log rolling.

Dental Careers seniors have been busy working with amalgam fillings recently.

Vet Science students practiced donning and doffing PPE so that they can protect themselves and their patientce from the spread of infectious disease!

The new group of students in Graphic Design are learning a favorite game for the program: Hues and Cues!

Property Management students have been practicing proper ladder safety.

Health Science students practice using hospital beds.

Welding students wasted no time getting to work.
