Human Services Career Support Program Receives Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly Workforce Success Grant

Exciting news! ðŸŽ‰

Open Sky is proud to share that we've received a Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly Success Grant from The Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development to support the Human Services Career Support Program, an initiative of the Central MA Career Pipeline Project. In collaboration with Seven Hills, this program has trained 68 people to enter the human services field with a guaranteed career upon completion. 75% have remained in the field since. Wow!

"This program doesn't just bring people in, it brings people up," said State Senator Robyn Kennedy.

Our team was honored to host the grant event at our Mann Street headquarters and we look forward to the collaboration with state officials and Commonwealth Corporation on future workforce development initiatives.

Giving Tuesday

November 28, 2023

At Open Sky, we support the individuals we serve to achieve their definition of wellness, and pursue the opportunities and relationships that are meaningful to them. We help individuals and families do more than they thought possible. In short, we help them to find their open sky.

We realize that living a fulfilling life is so much more than behavioral health supports, or day programs. It means doing the things you’re passionate about and playing a valued role in your community.

This work would not be possible without the support of donors like you.

Celebrate Giving Tuesday with us by donating between November 27-29 and as a thank you gift you will receive:

  • An Open Sky branded High Sierra Enzo Backpack for a $50+ donation
  • Open Sky 50th Anniversary logo quarter-zip pullover for a $100+ donation
Donate Between 11/27-11/29

Open Sky Does What It Takes to Serve Our Community!

Jessica was employed and working hard, but the need for first month’s rent, last month’s rent and deposit in order to find a new apartment was simply not something she could manage while still providing food and basic resources for her family.

Her depression was so severe and she didn’t know where to turn. Contacting nearly a dozen local organizations, finally her doctor connected her with Open Sky.

That’s when things changed for the better.
