Rockdale County Holds Ribbon Cutting for New Fire Station

Rockdale County officials celebrated the opening of Fire Station #10 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new station will operate with a blend of fresh graduates and veteran firefighters. Its establishment ensures fire coverage across all county sections, promising improved response times and enhanced quality of service for residents.

Lowndes County Officials Attend Groundbreaking for New P&B Cold Storage

Lowndes County officials, including Chairman Bill Slaughter and Commissioner Mark Wisenbaker, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for P&B Cold Storage. The new facility is expected to create more than 100 job opportunities and contribute over $30 million in capital investments.

Gwinnet County Hosts Luncheon in Honor of Women Veterans Day

Gwinnett County Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson recently hosted a luncheon in honor of Women Veterans Day. In addition to honoring the dedication and service of women to our nation, attendees connected and gained insights into the county's veteran services programs. Observed on June 12, Women Veterans Day marks the anniversary of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act which allowed women to serve as regular members of the military.

Union County Hosts ACCG Leadership Institute

Several Georgia county officials traveled to Union County to participate in the ACCG Leadership Institute. Facilitated by instructors from the University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government (CVIOG), the Leadership Institute emphasizes the importance of assessing personal communication styles and building relationships with others.
